It feels good to be BAD. That’s what you’ll be saying when you are checking out the Brisbane Art Design Festival from the 10th – 26th of May. Catch art, design, and the city of Brisbane colliding over a 17-day festival of exhibitions, performances, talks, art tours, workshops, and open studios. You’ll be able to see emerging talent starting out locally as well as trailblazers making a mark on the international stage.

Brisbane Street Art Festival
Experience the street like never before! Watch boring grey concrete come alive with colour and energy as street artists, live mural art, exhibitions, performances, and workshops hit the town. This outdoor festival showcases some of the most exciting art from both Australian and international artists.
Kellie O’Dempsey Outside the Lines
24th May, 5pm – 6:30pm
Museum of Brisbane
Performance artist Kellie O’Dempsey will take you on a journey of colour, light and sounds as she places her audience smack in the middle of her artwork. Combining multiple practices from digital drawing, performance, and animated video projection, you’ll be transported to your favourite daydream. After the show, you’ll be able to engage with the artist in a Q&A session about her co-operative creative process.

What’s in store for you here? A bespoke art, design and food experience that is distinctive to Brisbane. This CBD walking tour is hosted by public art curator Beth Jackson and you’ll enjoy strolling through art-lined laneways, public art sites, and design hotspots. All that walking is going to get you hungry, so you’ll also be able to enjoy an artisanal food and wine sampling from Felix for Goodness. Delish!
