Summer is jam-packed with festivals – so much so that we wrote a whole piece on all the summer festies you can check out here. The sad truth in life is that we can’t go to all the music festivals. The good news is that sideshows exist for this very reason. And boy are there some epic sideshows slated over the summer. Check out our top picks below and let us know who you’re keen to see!

Chvrches
They were only here a few months ago for Splendour, but the Scottish electronic trio are back down under to ring in the New Year. You can catch Chvrches at a few festivals across the country, but lucky Sydney-siders can also see them live at the Opera House for what is sure to be a special gig.

Anderson .Paak & The Free Nationals

Bless the rains down in Australia – the band behind one of your favourite drunk karaoke songs is down under for festival season. This indie-pop star on the rise made waves with debut single ‘River’. Since then, the Californian artist has drip-fed a bunch of great tracks for fans. You can see her perform at Field Day, or alternatively at an intimate Melbourne gig.

Mura Masa
2019 will mark a year since Mura Masa has played for Aussie audiences. In that year, Mura Masa has dropped an epic album with host of featured artists including Charli XCX, ASAP Rocky and NAO. Expect to hear classic tracks and new alike at this sole sideshow in Melbourne.
