Rich Brian has just announced his return down under after an incredible 2018 debut tour. From YouTuber to iconic hip hop artist, the Indonesian-born teen is on a fast-track to the top of the music world. In June, the rapping sensation released the first single titled ‘Yellow’ from his upcoming album, and it has us fangirling over the official release of ‘The Sailor’ which is set to drop on the 26th of this month – so be sure to add that to the calendar.
Rich Brian has used his own personal life for inspiring his album. “The Sailor is a symbol of being an explorer… of exploring uncharted territory and just going through life, curious. It’s my own story as well as the story of all immigrants that brave new worlds for a chance at something better”.
The breakthrough 2016 hit ‘Dat $tick’ splashed Rich Brian onto the Billboard charts and his 2018 album ‘Amen’ earned him a #1 spot on the US Hip Hop charts on iTunes. Having collaborated with icons such as Offset and 21 Savage, Rich Brian’s success just continues to evolve, having been named in Rolling Stones ‘25 Under 25’.
Rich Brian will make an appearance at Head In The Clouds Music & Arts Festival in Los Angeles before heading south for the Australian leg of his tour in August and September. Scoring an exciting string of four shows, we will see Rich Brian travel across Perth, Melbourne, Sydney and Brisbane.
