Review: Running Touch

June 3, 2019

Melbourne-based producer, songwriter, and artist Running Touch is touring around Australia right now after smashing out a banging set at the Metro Theatre on Friday. Supported by DJ legends Antony and Cleopatra, the set hit the right balance between sweaty dance festival and experimental electronics.

To celebrate the launch of Running Touch’s biggest Australia-wide tour to date, he has initiated his tour by releasing a new single ‘Make Your Move’. Dark and twisty, this track encapsulates the underground club scene with pulsing electronic bass and experimental flair. Trust us, you’ll want to hear this one live with a beer in your hand.

Antony and Cleopatra are a support act that deserves their own special mention. Their signature sound blends between 80s house and 70s disco, which will move your feet almost involuntarily. This act is so unique because of their beautiful blend between hypnotic vocals and inspiring beats. They pave the way for future electronic music with repetition, rhythm and earnest melodies – you’ll be left wanting more when they sadly leave the stage.

For a great night out listening to quality electronic music, you can’t do much better than Running Touch with Antony and Cleopatra as support. Listening to chart-topping singles like ‘My Hands’ is a real highlight as the crowd sings along to the lyrics seamlessly while having the best dance party. We’ve called it first over here – this will be the last time you can grab tickets to Running Touch for under $50 as next year we expect him to be a hard-hitting electro act for every festival line up.

You can still catch Running Touch Brisbane, Melbourne and Adelaide. Why not make a trip of it? Check out the details below, as well as some wallet-friendly accommodation options.
