After Splendour in the Grass sold out in a matter of days, you’re either cheering you got a ticket or crying in your pillow that you’ve missed out. This is for you sad music lovers out there – never fear, here’s why we think Spin Off Festival is setting up to be just as impressive.
Hitting the Adelaide Showground on the 19th of July, the same day Splendour in the Grass kicks off, you can expect international headliner acts like Childish Gambino and Catfish And The Bottlemen. After winning four Grammys with last year’s fiery single “This Is America”, Childish Gambio is sure to draw a crowd. With a set list spanning from electro rap to funk, he’ll keep you dancing.
Sharing the stage, you can expect some beaut Aussie acts like Ball Park Music, Wolf Alice and Ocean Alley. Brissy locals Ball Park Music are hot off the heels from their fifth album drop Good Mood last year which peaked at number five on the ARIA Australian Albums Charts. Frontman Sam Cromack has hinted that chart-toppers from the album like “Exactly How You Are”, “Perfect Life Does Not Exist” and “Hands Off My Body” will be essentials for their show.
You’ll also be able to capture that perfect birds eye view shot of the festival from the top of a ferris wheel on the day. To conclude – the best of the acts of Splendour wrapped up in one beautiful one-day bow? No camping in the rain, and guaranteed perfect Insta shot? Sign me up.
You can find tickets here.
