Best of Vivid for under $30

June 3, 2019

Vivid is officially here and warming up our cold winter hearts with spectacular light displays, art, music, and other events. We’ve shared the announcement of The Cure as the headliner, we’ve also shared our list of must-see events, and now for all you cheapskates – here are our top picks for a cheap night out (and also one where you might avoid massive crowds!)

Vivid Ideas

Vivid Art After Hours presents a series of live performances and talks at the Art Gallery of NSW for free. On the 5th of June, a collaboration between artist Abdul Abdullah and rapper, poet and author Omar Musa will explore belonging, self-expression and creativity in modern Australia. If that’s not your cup of tea, catch a live session of ABC’s hit TV show, ‘You can’t ask that’ – NSFW questions guaranteed. Be there by 6:30pm and if you feel like splurging a little, you can even visit the Archibald, Wynne and Sulman Prizes 2019 for just $20.
