Mallrat
At 19 years old, Mallrat (aka Grace Shaw) has had a number of hits that would make any artist proud. The Brisbane local broke out in 2016 with her smash single, ‘Uninvited’ – an ode to staying home on a night out. In only a short few years since, Mallrat has continued to top herself with hits like ‘Better’, ‘UFO’ and ‘Groceries. Tkay Maidza
Australia’s fav fierce female rapper, Tkay Maidza, is another young gun and a total trailblazer for local musicians. Tkay dropped her first track, ‘Switch Lanes’, at the age of 17, and has since gone on to establish herself as one of the best rappers in the Aussie industry. Billie Eilish
Although she’s still a teenager, at 16 Billie Eilish has the wisdom and soul of someone much older. This soul oozes into her music that has slowly taken over the world. Her fresh sound and dark indie-pop style has earned her festival billings across the world and has received global recognition. G Flip
G Flip (aka Georgia Flipo) is an Australian singer, songwriter, producer and multi-instrumentalist from Melbourne. The teenager only broke onto the local music scene this year when she posted the video for her track ‘About You’ online. The song was a huge hit, and was closely followed up by second single ‘Killing Time’. Though she only has a few official singles, G Flip has been appearing on festival bills across the country.
